What localization is and why you need it
Localization (or Ukrainianisation) of an EV is the adaptation of the car's software to our region. In plain terms: the interface, media system and phone projection start speaking Ukrainian or Russian, navigation works correctly with local maps, and online features are adapted to run outside the manufacturer's home market.
This is not "hacking" or deceiving the systems. It is a legal software adaptation to the region of use — the same in principle as changing the language on your phone or laptop. For a modern EV, which is essentially a computer on wheels, properly configured software is a matter not only of comfort but of everyday convenience and the car's resale liquidity.
What the work includes and how we do it
Before we talk price, it helps to understand what you are paying for. Our approach is built around the safety of the car:
- Backup. Before any changes, we create a backup so a safe rollback to the original state remains possible.
- Care with critical systems. We do not touch critical ECUs — the modules responsible for the high-voltage side and key safety functions. We work within the media system, interface and related settings.
- A transparent process. First an inspection and diagnostic check (about 15 minutes), then the work itself — usually 1–2 hours in the workshop.

Is there a warranty on the work?
Yes. If within 6 months an OTA update overwrites the localization, we reapply it free of charge. This is our real warranty, not a formality.
Why can't you give an exact price in advance over the phone?
Because the cost depends on the specific model, its configuration and the current state of the software. We quote the exact price right after the VIN and inspection — and it does not change afterwards with hidden surcharges.
Is it safe for the car?
We make a backup and keep a safe rollback available, and we do not touch critical ECUs. The work stays within the media system and interface.
